Gregory Thacker, MD

Gregory Thacker, MD, is the medical director at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO.  Previously, he was an assistant ultrasound director and physician with Front Range Emergency Specialists, a private group of emergency physicians.  Dr. Thacker held workshops to teach ED physicians the basics of bedside ultrasonography and is currently a board member.  He is also a trauma liaison to the Penrose-St. Francis trauma committee and has volunteered as clinic faculty and preceptor for the University of Colorado. Dr. Thacker earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine.  He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the Carolinas Medical Center.  Dr. Thacker enjoys spending time with his wife Tiffany and riding his mountain bike in beautiful Colorado in his free time.
